Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Wish collects when you create an account, build a page, or contribute a memory, and how that information is used.

1. Account data

When you sign up we store your email address, display name, and a salted, hashed version of your password — we never store your password in plain text. If you choose Continue with Google, we store your Google account id and verified email so we can sign you in; we do not keep Google login access tokens. A session cookie keeps you logged in; it identifies your session, not your activity elsewhere on the web.

2. Page content and contributions

Wish pages, their copy, and any photos, videos, audio, or written messages uploaded to them are stored on our servers so the page can be viewed and revisited. Contributors are not required to create an account, so we only collect what they choose to upload or write.

If you use Continue with Google, we receive your Google account id, name, and verified email to create or link your Wish account. If you import from Google Photos or a Google Drive folder, Wish copies the files you select or share onto that Wish page. Google access tokens for import are kept only for that short session, then removed. Wish does not use your Google account for advertising.

3. How pages are shared

A Wish page is reachable by anyone who has its exact link — it is unlisted, not password-protected. Don't treat the page link itself as a secret you can't share; treat it as something to hand only to people you trust with that memory.

4. What we don't do

We don't sell your data or a contributor's uploads to third parties, and we don't use contributed memories for advertising.

5. Data retention and deletion

Page owners can hide contributed media at any time from the studio. If you want your account or a page permanently deleted, contact us and we'll take care of it.

6. Children's privacy

Wish is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect account information from anyone under 13.
